Do work that matters

Your role exists to challenge, coach and inspire our leaders and teams to perform at their best. We’re transforming, and you’ll get to be a key part of that by driving our new agile way of working across tribes, squads and the wider Bankwest organisation.

See yourself in our team

At Bankwest, everything starts and ends with the customer - and that’s a good thing.

Our colleagues are empowered to make decisions supported by leaders who value diversity of thought and ideas.  It’s where done is better than perfect because rapid iteration and moving quickly produces a better result for our customers. That’s the trail we’re blazing – because having a committed, motivated workforce focused on the customer is the fastest way to excellence.

You’ll have a voice in shaping how we make our organisation more agile. As we transform our business, you’ll be here to build agile capability through teaching, mentoring and coaching, and will drive organizational change by building a network of agile advocates. Some of the way you’ll do this is by:

  • Coaching for high performance by focusing on content, culture and personal development
  • Contributing to the development of standardised tools, methodologies and approaches to be used across the organisation
  • Identify issues (and successes) and help resolve these effectively throughout the tribe and squad’s delivery lifecycle
  • Leveraging established learnings and processes from across the organisation to accelerate adoption, and continuously improving our Way of Working

We’re interested in hearing from people who have:

  • Significant hands on agile delivery experience with at least 5 years’ experience in a coaching or senior scrum master role, including experience in Enterprise wide agile transformation and leading change.
  • Demonstrable deep knowledge and understanding of agile principles and delivery practices (including Scrum, Kanban and Lean)
  • Highly motivated and energetic with an ability to inspire and motivate teams and stakeholders, whilst balancing the need to drive business outcomes
  • Exceptional communication skills, including public speaking, leading and facilitating workshops across a range of stakeholders from junior engineers to the executive leadership team.
